Carrie Derick
Carrie Derick was the first Canadian woman university professor. She was also a botanist and geneticist. She researched in many universities such as the Marine Biological Laboratory, Harvard University of Bonn and Royal Academy of science. She struggled greatly to achieve her goal of becoming the first female professor at McGill University, and through her hard work and determination she achieved her goal!
