Kenojuak Ashevak
Kenojuak Ashevak was a Canadian artist. She was born on October 3, 1927. Kenojuak become one of the first Inuit women to start drawing. She created many carvings and designs for the Canadian coins and stamps. She achieved many great feats like being awarded a Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts in 2008 and in 2012 was appointed to the Order of Nunavut. Her art was featured in many exhibitions and her grasps the culture of the Inuit, Although best known as a graphic artist, she also carved, designed blankets and created a mural for the 1970 World's Fair in Osaka, Japan

Stephen Lewis
Stephen Lewis was born on November 11th, 1937 and is currently 79 years old. He is a famous Canadian politician, public speaker, and the leader for a social political group. He founded the The Stephen Lewis Foundation, this helps to attack HIV & AIDS in Africa by providing care and support to women, orphaned children, grandmothers and people living with HIV & AIDS. Since 2003, they have funded over 1,400 initiatives, partnering with more than 300 community-based organizations in the 15 African countries hardest hit by the global AIDS epidemic. He was also appointed a Companion of the Order of Canada (2002) and was awarded the Pearson Peace medal (2004) by the UN Association in Canada. Among his current roles, he is a member of the World Health Organization (WHO).

George Brown
George Brown was a famous Canadian politician who played a significant role in Canadian confederation. He was born on November 29th 1818 in the UK. He later moved to New York then Toronto. His passionate dedication and vision for Canada’s future is what labelled him as a father of confederation. He attended the Charlottetown and Quebec conference and without him, Canadian confederacy would not have been the same.

Steve Nash was born on February 7th 1974. Steve Nash is a canadian basketball player. He played in the NBA for many years. He retired and now is a general manager for the Canadian Basketball team. In his time in the NBA, he won 2 MVPs. Although, he played for phoenix, he inspired many Canadians to play the sport of basketball.

Rick Hansen
Rick Hansen is a famous Canadian philanthropist working for people with disabilities. He is also a well known Paralympic advocate. Born on August 26 1957, Hansen grew up with a passion for fishing and sports. At the age of 15, a tragic truck accident left him unable to walk again. With this life changing event, Rick began to discover and learn more about disabled people. With his hard work and determination, he launched the Rich Hansen Foundation and accomplished many goals for the disabled.

Thérèse Casgrain
Thérèse Casgrain was a Canadian feminist, reformer, politician and senator. She was born in Montreal, Canada on July 10, 1896. She was part of the Co-operative Commonwealth and Part Social democratique du Quebec. As an iconic feminist, she wrote a very outstanding book called A Women In a Man´s World. In 1982 the Liberal government Pierre Trudeau introduced the Thérèse Casgrain Volunteer Award in her honour. It was then killed out by Stephen Harper while he served as Prime Minister. However, after the Liberal win, the rules are changing and the award is coming back to action!
